This article reports on waterbird surveys conducted by CLCAC Rangers and is co-authored by independent ornithologist Roger Jaensch and Normanton Land & Sea Senior Head Ranger Paul Richardson.  Between 2009-2013 CLCAC Rangers conducted the first broad-scale multi-year documentation of migratory waterbirds in the Gulf Plains.  This article reports 32 active colonies, 28 of which were previously undescribed, making it an important contribution to scientific knowledge of waterbirds in the Gulf.
